Q: How do I subscribe?
A: You may consider your options, make your choice online and pay by credit card. Or, you can contact us to discuss your options, your profile, or any other details.
Q: Is it safe to use my credit card to pay Online?
A: GovernmentBids.com is committed to security in online transactions, authorized by all the major credit card organizations, and uses industry-standard technology encryption and technology safeguards. In addition, we are VeriSign certified for our online transaction security.
Q: I am a new client: How do I log in to the website?
A: To access the website go to: www.governmentbids.com. Click on "Customer Login" in the upper right corner. On the login page, simply enter the username / password associated to your account. Once logged in, the layout of the search screen will show customization to reflect your preferences, if applicable. Depending on your package, different service levels and information, such as details of notices and awards, may be available.
Q: Where and how do I set-up my Email Alerts?
A: In the "Advanced Search" section, click on the "Edit Search Preferences" tab. This page will allow you to edit your saved preferences regarding: (1) State/Local categories, (2) Federal categories, (3) States, (4) Advanced Search criteria, and (5) Email Alert options. Please note: although you may choose to view every notice type in your Email Alert, you will only be able to retrieve complete notices based on your subscription package.
Q: How do I set-up My Profile?
A: To start setting up your account preferences, click on the 'My Profile' link on the main navigation toolbar. The 'My Profile' section presents an overview of your account, including package details, sign in details, contact information, addresses, financial information and business information. Simply click 'Edit' or the associated action button next to the preferences you want to change. If you are looking to set your email alert and search preferences, click on the "Advanced Search" link on the main navigation toolbar and then click on the tab "Edit Search Preferences".
Q: How do I set-up My Package?
A: In the "My Profile" section, click on the Edit button in the "My Package" area. The "My Package" page provides you with details about your current package and gives you information on how to further enhance your package.
Q: Can I upgrade my package online?
A: Yes. To upgrade your package, first access the "My Profile" section from the main navigation. Once on the "My Profile" page, then click on the Edit button in the "My Package" area. On the "My Package" page, click on the button "Choose your ideal Package now!". A set of the available packages will be offered to you with pricing and an "Upgrade" button for the package you can upgrade to. The new prices and adjustments will be charged to your credit card. Your new access is effective immediately. Or, you can contact us to discuss your options, your profile, or any other details.
Q: How do I change my Sign In Information?
A: Within the "My Profile" section, click on the Edit button next to the "Sign In Information" area.
Q: How do I set-up my Personal Contact Information?
A: Within the 'My Profile' section, click on the Edit button next to the "Contact Information" area. Please note: Your email is mandatory to be able to receive daily Email alerts.
Q: I am the Main User for my company. How do I set-up a contact list?
A: From the "My Profile" section, within the "Contact Information" area, click on "View List". Please note: The "View List" button in the "Contact Information" area, will be available only to the main contact. From that section, you can edit and add contacts under your company's main account.
Q: How do I add new users?
A: To maximize the effectiveness of your GovernmentBids.com subscription, you may have more than one person registered to use it. To register an additional name, simply call customer care, or send us an email at customercare@governmentbids.com.
Q: Where do I set-up my Company Information?
A: From the "My Profile" section, click on the "Edit" button next to the "Company Information" area. You can also add relevant information to help us serve you better by choosing to update your "Business Information", by clicking the associated Edit button near the bottom of the "My Profile" page.
Q: How can I set-up or change addresses?
A: From the "My Profile" section, in the "Addresses" area, click on the Edit button to update the displayed address. To add a new address, click on the "Add" button in the "Addresses" area. To view the list of saved addresses, simply click on "View list".
Q: How do you handle security when several co-workers also have access?
A: Only the main contact will have credit card information in his/her profile and be able to add another contact.
Q: The person in our company that handled this account left. What can we do?
A: Just contact customer care and we will be happy to make changes to the account. We’ll be glad to assist and make updates to emails, contacts, and other changes needed.
Q: Why do you need Business Information?
A:The first important step is setting your profile up correctly to ensure you get the opportunities that match your business. That way you won’t miss any bids or be deluged with bids of marginal interest to you. In the "My Profile" section, click the Edit button in the "Business Information" area to update your business information.
Q: Where do I, as Main User for my company, set-up Financial Information?
A: From the "My Profile" section, click on the Edit button in the "Financial Information" area. Please note: The Edit link will be available only if you are the main contact. From that section, you can edit your company's credit card information.
Q: Can I get a refund if I cancel in the middle of my subscription period?
A: As a pre-paid service, we do not offer refunds for the remaining portion of your subscription fee after cancellation.
Q: What if I have a problem logging into my account?
A: Just call us or email us at customercare@governmentbids.com. Unlike many other "bid services", we have a trained service team dedicated to making your user experience the best that it can be.
Q: What is the best way to log out?
A: To log out, click on the Log Out link at the top of the page. This will release your session. A combination of username / password cannot be used more than once at the same time.
