Description:   Lexia Learning is the only vendor offering Lexia English Language Development. Lexia English Language Development is an adaptive blended learning, speaking and listening program that supports students academic English language development through: individualized placement in proficiency level appropriate curricula via the use of Assessment Without Testing, a federally registered trademark of Lexia Learning, whereby academic conversations are driven by a proprietary speech recognition engine designed exclusively to assist Emergent Bilingual students acquire higher language proficiency levels of English, integrating three key areas: speaking,listening, and grammar. In 2021, findings from correlational studies performed across California, such as the 2021 ELPAC-Lexia Study, on the effectiveness of Lexia English Language Development and the relationship between the use of Lexia English Language Development and performance on the English Language Proficiency Assessment (ELPAC) in the 2020-21 academic year, resulted in demonstrating that Lexia English Language Development users consistently scored higher than non-Lexia English Language Development users across all grades and demographic groups. Additionally, the largest advantage for Lexia English Language Development users was seen in scores within the oral domain.Responsive competition of Lexia English Language Development is de facto non-existent in that it is the only product that addresses language development in ELL students versus the adaptation of Tier 1, non-ELL specific, reading instructional tools.
