Description:   Notice of Intent to Sole Source RequirementThe Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 10, intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a Single Source for the items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 339112. The vendor will be ALPHA OMEGA CO USA INC., 5755 NORTH POINT PARKWAY, SUITE 229, ALPHARETTA, GA, 30022. Description of equipment requirements: NeuroFortis Neuro Omega Drive Headstage KIT 2 EachTrade-ins 2 EachThe microelectrode recording system (Neuro Omega Neuromodulation System) that the VA owns is only compatible with these Headstages. The Neuro Omega Neuromodulation System will not be replaced, but the headstages that connect into the system are at the end of life or broken and need to be replaced. When the Headstages are connected into the system, it makes the whole system functional for the procedures. The procedures cannot be completed without the Headstages.A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
