ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSIMPROVEMENTS AND RENOVATIONSAT FRANKLIN TECHE ACTION CLINIC ANNEXFor TECHE ACTION BOARD INC. - FRANKLIN LASealed Bids for the construction of IMPROVEMENTS AND RENOVATIONS AT FRANKLIN TECHE ACTION CLINIC ANNEX, 1015 Weber St, Franklin LA 70538 - For Teche Action Board Inc. - Franklin La; will be received until 2:30 P.M., local time, on April 13, 2023 , in the Meeting Room of the Teche Action Board, Inc. 1100 Weber St, Franklin LA, after which the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any Bids received after the above-mentioned time will be returned unopened.The general scope of this project consists of Improvements and Renovations at the existing Franklin Teche Action Clinic Annex, 1015 Weber St, Franklin La, For Teche Action Board, Inc. The Project includes the conversion of an existing open space in the building to office and training areas for Administrative staff. Work consists of a new exterior entrance, framing of new partitions, flooring, ceilings, HVAC, and lighting for offices, training room, and an exercise room, together with modifications to the existing automatic sprinkler system. An Alternate Bid will include renovation work at certain areas in the existing clinic to replace flooring, ceiling tile, and lighting. Additional Alternate Bids provide for the installation of an automatic emergency generator system and reroofing work for the Annex Building. The project will be bid with a Base Bid and Additive Alternates.Contractors desiring to bid on this project shall attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting noted below, and shall obtain a paper copy of the plans and specifications from the Architect to facilitate dissemination of Addenda and other pertinent information to bidders. Plans will not be issued to additional bidders after the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. Copies of the plans and specifications and related contract documents are on file in office of the Office Manager, Teche Action Clinic, 1100 Weber St, Franklin LA, and at the office of Firmin Architects, Ltd, 530 Third Street, P.O. Box 972, Morgan City, Louisiana, (985/384-3094), and are open for inspection at each of these offices without charge. Contractors and Sub Contractors will be provided an electronic copy of the Plans and Specifications upon request of the architect. Hard copies of the plans and specifications, (Required for Prime Bidders), are available from the Architect by making a deposit of One Hundred dollars ($100.00) for each set issued. The full amount of the deposit will be refunded to each Contractor upon return of such documents in good condition.All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid, made payable without condition to the Owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute the contract documents, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, signed by the surety's agency or attorney-in-fact. Surety must be listed on the current approved U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list.The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project.A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELDat 10:00 AM on March 28, 2023 at Teche Action Clinic Annex , 1015 Weber St, Franklin La 70538Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38:2212 (A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids in accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2215.The Owner reserves the right to reject bids for just cause in accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2214. In accordance with La.
